Day 40 - Epic Diving in Bali

We were at at the dive shop at our resort by 8am, and got geared up to head out on our first dive. Both of our dives today were shore dives (walking out in the water from the shore and descending with the grade of the sea floor) - one at the site of a sunken US WWII ship that was destroyed by the Japanese, the second at a place called "The Wall".

The diving was so spectacular and there were so many other spots to see, that we contemplated doing a third dive, but were both pretty beat. Instead, we laid by the pool with a bottle of wine, and later walked to dinner at a restaurant that was ranked #1 in town on Tripadvisor. It was funny, because it was so tiny, and they didn't even have a real stove to cook on. I had to snap a pic.
The view of the volcano was great from the dining area above the kitchen.
The walk back was pretty sketchy in the dark. It was nearly pitch black, and with no sidewalks it made for an interesting trek.
Tomorrow we'll head back near the city of Denpasar to Jimbaran; a bay known for its fishing and great beach seafood.
