Day 16 - Koh Samui: Getting Settled

Last night's sleep was fantastic. I was worried that I would have a hard time sleeping because I could hear the bass booming from one of the nightclubs, but I was so tired, I was out in 30 seconds. Woke up later than normal and and checked out of the hotel, and decided to walk to the place I'll be spending the next 5 days. It's through town on the other side of a lake, but I like seeing neighborhoods and people watching, and I prefer not to spend money on a cabs anyway.
This ^ is why walking is better! :)
I checked in and got situated, did some much needed laundry in the bathtub (first one I've had so far), and took off to find a supermarket. This is a "condotel" so I have a full kitchen, a couple different balconies, and a flat screen, all for only $24 a day. It's a little further than I'd like to be from the beach and all the action, but it's great for now!
My lanai. Can't see the ocean, but there is a decent view of the lake when you are standing out there.
The dirt road to my condo is a major thoroughfare for water buffalo, apparently. I see men walking them down the dirt road, back and forth down to the lake all day. Lol
We should be able to buy meat this way in the US! You get the exact piece you want :)
Making my green curry with chicken. I've never even seen half of the vegetables before that came in this shrink wrap pack, but thank goodness they sold it this way, or I would have been lost! Turned out great!
Now, a movie and a singha (beer) before bed :)
