We hired the driver of our hotel in Seminyak to take us up into the jungle, to the town of Ubud. The resort we'll be staying at the next two nights turned out to be absolutely breathtaking. As soon as we arrived we could see that the resort was perched on a mountain overlooking a river valley, with a beautiful rice paddy and great vantage point to see the rafters heading down the river. The bungalow was just as incredible as the view, with a great bathtub and it's own private plunge pool on the deck. Love it!!!
We hung out at our resort the rest of the day, just taking in the views and relaxing. Tomorrow, we'll explore Ubud and visit the monkey forest.
Oh, yes. We spotted this big sucker in a 5 foot web overhead, while walking down the path towards our bungalow. Just another reminder that we're not in Kansas anymore. LOL. Hard to tell in the photo, but it really was the size of Randy's hand...
